Cheera Cherupayar Parippu Curry

It is a traditional kerala dish.It is a tasty curry.Every kids love this curry with ghee and rice.This is an excellent recipe!!.Please rate this after tasting this.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Moong dal
  • 1/2 cup Cheera spinach
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 tsp Coconut oil
  • 4 Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Cook moong dal with 2 cup water with turmeric powder until soft for 5 minutes.
  • Add cheera or spinach leaves before dal cooked well.
  • Add coconut into fine paste with cumin seeds onion and green chilly
  • Add this coconut paste to cheera dal mix.Cook for 3 minutes on light flame ,Do not over cook after adding coconut.
  • Add salt and water and boil for 2 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard,when it splutters add red chilly and curry leaves and add it to curry.Boil for 2 minutes and now ready to serve with ghee and rice
