Ingredients
  

  • Beaten rice : 100 gm
  • Onion : 1 no
  • Chillies : 2 nos
  • Channa dal : 1 tsp
  • Mustard : 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : a pinch
  • Curry leaves : as needed
  • Salt : as needed

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard and wait till it spurts.
  • Add the channa dal and fry till it turns brown.
  • Now add the chopped onions, slit chillies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and salt and saute till onions gets soft.
  • Soak the beaten rice for 5 minutes then squeeze out the water and keep it aside.
  • Add the beaten rice to the onion and fry till the mixture gets blended.
  • Serve hot with chutney.
