Grate coconut and soak in 1½ cup hot water and keep aside till it cools.
Grind to a fine paste in a mixer and extract coconut milk. You need 2 cups coconut milk.
Grind green chillies, fennel seeds, garlic ginger paste, a large handful of coriander, salt and turmeric powder to a fine paste and rub it over the meat and keep aside for 30 minutes.

Cut the remaining coriander leaves and garlic length - wise and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the garlic flakes and the sliced onions till golden brown.

Add the marinated meat, cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add coconut milk, close the pressure cooker and cook for 10 - 12 whistles.
