Rice : 1 cup
Toovar dal : ½ cup
Grated coconut : ½ no

Dry red chilies : 8
Ball tamarind : 1 no
Cabbage finely chopped : 1 cup
Spring onion bulb and stem chopped : 1 no
Onions chopped : 2 nos
Salt : as reqd
Instructions
Soak the rice and dal overnight.
Grind the coconut, whole red chillies, tamarind and salt to a fine paste.
Add the soaked rice and toovar dal to the coconut paste and grind together.
Mix the chopped cabbage, spring onions and onions together in a vessel.
Add the ground masala paste to the vegetables and mix well.
Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle and spread the batter evenly and cover with a lid.
Cook on a low flame for 3-4 minutes till the bottom turns brown.
Turn and cook on the flip side.
