Ingredients
  

  • Channa dal : 2 cups (cooked)
  • Coconut : 1 cup (grated)
  • Sugar : ¾ cup
  • All purpose flour : 2 ½ cups
  • Cardamom powder : ½ tsp
  • Yellow color : a pinch (optional)

Instructions
 

  • First seive flour. Add salt and knead it to dough (like chappathi dough). Keep this aside for 1 hour.
  • Pressure cook the dal. Strain it.3) In a kadai, heat little ghee. Add the cooked dal, fry for 2 minutes till the water is fully evaporated.4) Add the coconut and fry again for 2 minutes. Now add the sugar. 5) When the sugar starts to melt,add cardamom powder and remove from flame.
  • Grind the mixture without water.7) Make balls of lemon size from the mixture.Also make balls from all purpose flour.8) Make a small round with flour dough (poori size or less). In the middle add the dal balls. Cover it with the flour dough. Roll it with hand.
  • Make chappathi. Place it in hot tawa. Add ghee in sides.
  • 10) Home made bholi is ready. You will get a nice layer from inside also.
