Unniappam
Easy snack with flour and jaggery

- 2 cups Maida/Flour
- 1 cup Grated Jaggery
- 2 nos Banana
- Fried Coconut Pieces
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 cups Water
- Oil/Ghee for frying
Make syrup by boiling jaggery with one cup water. After the jaggery has dissolved, put off the flame and strain the syrup and keep it aside.
Smash banana in the grinder.
Add it to the flour along with jaggery syrup and cardamom powder.
Mix well and put it to rest for 5 hours.The batter should not be very thick. Add more water if required.
Before preparing unniappams, add fried coconut pieces.
Heat the unniappam pan.
Add oil/ghee and once the oil becomes hot, pour in the batter into the moulds.
Fry both the sides till it is brown in colour.
