Steam cook the bananas.
Peel and grind it finely. Keep it aside.
Heat ghee in a pan and sauté raisins,coconut and sugar in it till the coconut turns light brown in colour.
Add cardamom and take it from flame.
Now take a lemon sized ball from the grinded bananas.
Press it finely on your hand, or a flat, clean and greased surface.
Take a spoon full of the coconut mixture and place it on the pressed banana.
Fold it slowly in your hands and shape it well.
Repeat the same for the remaining banana and coconut.
Heat oil in a kadai and fry the unnakayas in it till brown in colour.
Serve it as an evening snack or during breaking fast.
