Naadan Pavekka Thoran

An easy side dish with Bitter gourd (Pavekka/Karela)

Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos Bitter Gourd
  • 1/2 of Coconut
  • 1 no Onion
  • 5 nos Green Chillies
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Mustard seeds
  • Water As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Soak grated bitter gourd in salted water for 5 minutes and then drain the water well.
  • Mix the bitter gourd, coconut, salt, green chilli, onion and salt well with hand.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard sseds.
  • Add ginger.
  • Add the bitter gourd mix. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle little water. Cover and cook till all the water has dried up.
