Thoroughly clean the crabs
Grind coconut nicely and keep it aside
Grind the tomatoes. It should be smooth
Grind all ginger and garlic and keep the paste ready
Chop onion, tomato, coriander. Keep the red chillies and curry leaves along with it.
Take the fennel and cinnamon and keep it aside
Heat oil in a pan and fry the fennel and cinnamon for about a minute
Add the chopped onion and sauté
Add the red chillies and fry for a minute. Then add the ginger garlic paste and sauté.
Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté till the tomato is cooked and it looses the shape
Add the tomato puree and fry
Once the puree is cooked well, add the crab and mix it well
Add the chilli and coriander powder.
Add little water and mix it well and let it cook.
Once the crab is almost cooked add grounded coconut
For the final touch sprinkle pepper powder, mix it well and cook for 3 to 5 minutes and remove from flame.
Serve hot with rice
