Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Crab
  • 2 inch Ginger
  • 8 pods Garlic
  • 3 Tomato 2 for puree and one for sauting
  • Coriander as needed
  • 1 Onion
  • Curry leaves as needed
  • 2 Red chillies
  • ½ ts Fennel seeds
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • Salt as needed
  • Pepper powder as needed

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly clean the crabs
  • Grind coconut nicely and keep it aside
  • Grind the tomatoes. It should be smooth
  • Grind all ginger and garlic and keep the paste ready
  • Chop onion, tomato, coriander. Keep the red chillies and curry leaves along with it.
  • Take the fennel and cinnamon and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the fennel and cinnamon for about a minute
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté
  • Add the red chillies and fry for a minute. Then add the ginger garlic paste and sauté.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté till the tomato is cooked and it looses the shape
  • Add the tomato puree and fry
  • Once the puree is cooked well, add the crab and mix it well
  • Add the chilli and coriander powder.
  • Add little water and mix it well and let it cook.
  • Once the crab is almost cooked add grounded coconut
  • For the final touch sprinkle pepper powder, mix it well and cook for 3 to 5 minutes and remove from flame.
  • Serve hot with rice
