Roast the brinjal on a medium flame till well cooked. When the skin has charred completely, peel and mash well.
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add onion and saute till it turns light brown.
Add minced garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute well.
Add chopped tomatoes and saute well.
Add mashed brinjal and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
Remove into an airtight container and keep the burning coal on the top of the brinjal.
Keep the cloves on top of the burning coal and put ghee on the top of the coal and cloves.
Close the container tightly and don’t allow the smoke to go outside of the container.
After 5 minutes open the container. Remove the cloves and coal. Mix well.
:- Serve with chapati or rice.
