Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Chicken
  • 3 nos Onion medium
  • 2 nos Tomato medium
  • Salt As reqd
  • tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

For grinding:-

  • 8 nos Garlic pods
  • Ginger A small piece
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds
  • 2 nos Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • 1 big Cardamom green
  • 3 nos Cloves
  • 6 nos Green chillies hot

Instructions
 

  • Wash and clean the chicken and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add chopped onion and saute till it turns golden colour.
  • Lightly fry the poppy seeds and grind it with ginger, garlic, cinnamon, cardamom, green chillies and cloves.
  • Add the above masala with the sauteed onions in the pan and stir for a few seconds.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  • Add chicken pieces. Stir well for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  • Cover with a lid and allow to cook on very low flame.
  • :- Do Not allow to burn the curry. So keep stirring every few seconds. If necessary you can add ½ cup of boiled water into the chicken.
  • Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
