Raw Banana Thoran

Delicious vegetarian banana dish cooked with coconut

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Raw banana
  • 1 no Onion chopped, small
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeera
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 nos Whole red chilly
  • 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
  • Turmeric A pinch
  • Ginger chopped
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 2 tbsp Coconut grated
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing raw banana thoran, first cut the raw banana into small pieces. Wash well and drain.
  • Add salt, turmeric and chilly powder. Add little water and cook. Keep aside when done.
  • In a wok or kadai, heat oil and aplutter mustard seeds, whole red chilly, curry leaves, cut onions, green chillies, ginger and then add the cooked raw banana and grated coconut. Saute well.
  • Banana Thoran is ready.. enjoy.
