Coconut Macaroons-Coconut Laddoos-Narikel Naru

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 lb Coconut grated
  • 3/4 lb Jaggery Sharkara
  • 4-5 shelled Cardamon seeds Elakka
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • For preparing coconut macaroons recipe, first bring water to boil in a flat bottomed pan and reduce heat to low.
  • Add jaggery and let it dissolve. Once melted, strain the syrup to remove impurities and then place back on low heat for 5-6 mins and let the syrup thicken.
  • Add the grated coconut and cardamom powder and let the mixture thicken. While still warm, make small ball-shaped macaroons.
  • The coconut macaroons/coconut laddoos/narikel naru recipe will harden when cooled. Enjoy!
