Madakku Appam

Flour with coconut and jaggery

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Wheat/Maida All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 cup Jaggery/Sugar grated
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder Elakka
  • 1 no Egg
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • Oil/ghee As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Mix together coconut, jaggery and cardamom. keep it aside.
  • Make a dosa consistency batter by mixing together wheat flour, egg, salt, sugar and required water.
  • On a hot tava(pan), apply ghee. Pour the batter and make a dosa. Put some ghee on the sides and roast it.
  • When both the sides are done, add the sweet mixture and fold to one side. Roast again for a few seconds and take out of the flame. Serve hot.
