Green Beans Pickles

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Green beans
  • 1/2 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 10 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 5 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Asafoetida powder kayam
  • Gingely oil As reqd, nallenna
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing green beans pickles, wash the beans well and slice into small pieces.
  • Mix some salt, turmeric powder and steam it. 3)Dry saute mustard seeds, fenugreek and cumin seeds in a pan. Grind it to a fine powder and keep it aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add some mustard seeds & fenugreek.
  • Then add in the ginger, garlic & green chillies. Saute it well.
  • Add cooked green beans, chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and add the previously powdered mustard mix.
  • When the mixture cools down add vinegar.
  • Note: 1)Store it in bottle and serve after 1 day.
