German Turnip-Cabbage Turnip Thoran

Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos German turnip/Noolkols
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 no onion chopped
  • 3 nos Green chillies chopped
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Peel the skin, chop or grate the noolkols finely.
  • Pour oil in a pan and season with mustard and curry leaves.
  • Add the turmeric, coconut, onion, noolkol, chillies and salt and cook covered with a little water until the vegetable becomes tender.
  • Serve as side dish with rice.
