German Turnip-Cabbage Turnip Thoran
Noolkol thoran, high in fibre and low in calories

- 3 nos German turnip/Noolkols
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 no onion chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies chopped
- Curry leaves Few
- 1/2 cup Coconut grated
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- Salt As reqd
- Oil As reqd
Peel the skin, chop or grate the noolkols finely.
Pour oil in a pan and season with mustard and curry leaves.
Add the turmeric, coconut, onion, noolkol, chillies and salt and cook covered with a little water until the vegetable becomes tender.
Serve as side dish with rice.
