Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Chana dal kadalaparippu
  • 150 g Jaggery sharkara
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 2 cups Rice powder
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing kadala parippu kozhikatta, first cook chana dal in a pressure cooker with required water.
  • Grind to fine paste.
  • Crush the jaggery well. Mix with the coconut and cardamom powder and keep aside.
  • In boiling water add the rice powder and salt. Knead them well.
  • Mix coocked chana dal with the above rice mixture and bake balls. Stuff each rice ball with the coconut jaggery mixture.
  • Keep them in steamer and cook it.
  • Kadatla parippu kozhikatta is ready.
