200 g Chana dal (kadalaparippu)150 g Jaggery (sharkara)1 cup Coconut (grated)2 cups Rice powder1 tsp Cardamom powderSalt (As reqd) For preparing kadala parippu kozhikatta, first cook chana dal in a pressure cooker with required water.Grind to fine paste.Crush the jaggery well. Mix with the coconut and cardamom powder and keep aside.In boiling water add the rice powder and salt. Knead them well.Mix coocked chana dal with the above rice mixture and bake balls. Stuff each rice ball with the coconut jaggery mixture.Keep them in steamer and cook it.Kadatla parippu kozhikatta is ready. Kerala
