Ingredients
  

  • Sooyi a type of spinach) - 1 bunch(finely sliced
  • 2 nos Onion sliced
  • 2 cups Chickpeas
  • 4 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 1 piece Ginger chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Curry leaves As reqd
  • Oil To fry

Instructions
 

  • For preparing sooyi-chappu vada, soak the chickpeas in water for 5 hours.
  • Grind it finely to make a smooth paste.
  • Knead together all the ingredients onion, sooyi chappu, green chillies, ginger, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt, curry leaves with the chickpeas paste.
  • Make small balls out of the dough and press it lightly.
  • Fry these vadas in oil.
  • Serve with coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
