Special Chicken Varattiyathu

Chicken is marinated, fried and mixed in a masala

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken chopped
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 cups Onions finely chopped
  • 5 nos Green chillies slit
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 cup Capsicum sliced
  • 1 cup Beetroot grated
  • 1/4 cup Tomato sauce
  • 6 springs Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing special chicken varattiyathu, marinate the chicken pieces in soya sauce, chilly powder, vinegar and salt. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  • Fry the marinated chicken pieces in oil.
  • In another vessel heat oil. SautT garlic paste, onions and green chillies.
  • Add in beetroot, capsicum and pepper powder. Fry well.
  • Then add in tomato sauce and required salt.
  • Toss in the fried chicken and mix it well in the masala.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Remove it from the flame.
  • Special chicken varattiyathu is ready. Serve hot.
