Ginger Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 125 ml Milk
  • 250 g Honey
  • 250 g All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Aniseeds ground, Saunf
  • 6 nos Coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon ground, Karugapatta
  • 1/2 tsp Ground ginger
  • 2 nos Cloves Garmbu
  • 20 g Butter
  • Salt A pinch

Instructions
 

  • For preparing ginger bread, boil milk and salt.
  • Remove it from the heat and add in honey. Let it cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius.
  • Grease a bread tin with butter and line it with grease proof paper.
  • Crush cinnamon, cloves, aniseeds and coriander seeds.
  • In a bowl, add in maida, crushed spices, baking powder and ginger. Mix well.
  • Pour in the milk mixture and knead it to make a smooth dough.
  • Put it into the tin and bake it for 1 hour in the oven.
  • Allow the ginger bread to cool on the rack and then remove it from the tin.
  • Ginger bread is ready.
