Tapioca(Kappa) Mukki Varuthathu

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 kg Tapioca cleaned
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Rice flour
  • 3 tbsp Gram flour/Basen
  • Asafoetida A pinch, Kaayam
  • 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
  • Soda powder A pinch
  • 3 springs Curry leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Hot oil
  • Oil As reqd
  • Water As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing tapioca mukki varuthathu, cook tapioca in hot water and drain it.
  • Slice the tapioca in 2 inch pieces. Keep it aside.
  • In a bowl, mix in rice flour, basen flour, asafoetida, hot oil, salt, soda powder, curry leaves, chilly powder with a little water to make a batter.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the tapioca pieces in the batter and fry it.
  • Tapioca mukki varuthath is ready. Serve with tomato sauce or chutney.
