1/4 kg Tapioca (cleaned)1 1/2 tbsp Rice flour3 tbsp Gram flour/BasenAsafoetida (A pinch, Kaayam)1/4 tsp Chilly powderSoda powder (A pinch)3 springs Curry leaves (finely chopped)1 tsp Hot oilOil (As reqd)Water (As reqd)Salt (As reqd) For preparing tapioca mukki varuthathu, cook tapioca in hot water and drain it.Slice the tapioca in 2 inch pieces. Keep it aside.In a bowl, mix in rice flour, basen flour, asafoetida, hot oil, salt, soda powder, curry leaves, chilly powder with a little water to make a batter.Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the tapioca pieces in the batter and fry it.Tapioca mukki varuthath is ready. Serve with tomato sauce or chutney. Kerala
