Ingredients
  

  • 30 g Barley
  • 395 g Tomatoes
  • 1 no Turnip peeled and diced
  • 3 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 2 nos Vegetable stock cubes
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
  • 570 ml Water
  • Pepper powder As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing barley soup, puree the tomatoes and strain it.
  • Add in tomato puree, blended tomato puree, oregano, basil, stock cubes, barley, salt and water.
  • Cook it covered for 10 minutes on high flame.
  • Remove the lid and continue cooking the soup for 30 minutes on high flame stirring occasionally.
  • Add pepper powder and mix well.
  • Barley soup is ready. Serve hot.
