Coconut Dates Fritters

Dates are kneaded with coconut, dipped in batter and deep fried

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 kg Dates de-seeded and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 no Egg
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing coconut dates fritters, knead dates and coconut well. Make small balls and press it lightly. Keep it aside.
  • In a bowl mix in salt and egg.
  • In another bowl, mix in maida, rice flour, sugar and water.
  • Add in the egg mixture to the above batter and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Dip the dates in the batter and fry it in oil.
  • Coconut dates fritters is ready. Serve as a snack for tea.
