Vendakka Thoran, a Kerala side dish for rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Ladies finger chopped
  • 4 nos Green chillies slit
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic chopped
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing vendakka thoran, first heat oil in pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and fry curry leaves.
  • Fry onion, green chillies, turmeric and garlic.
  • Add ladies finger and sprinkle salt.
  • Fry for 5 minutes.
  • Cover with lid and fry.
  • When done, add the grated coconut and fry.
