Spinach Dal Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Spinach chopped
  • 50 g Lentils cooked with salt, Tuvara parippu
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/4 tsp Split black gram Uzhunnu parippu
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 nos Dry chillies
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing spinach dal curry, cook spinach in salt, turmeric powder and little water.
  • Mix the cooked dal into the spinach.
  • Grind chilly powder and coconut. Mix it into the above curry.
  • Saute split black gram, mustard and dry chillies in oil. Pour it into the boiling curry. Remove from the flame.
  • Garnish with spinach.
  • Spinach dal curry is ready. Serve hot.
