Rich Paneer Curry

A tasty paneer curry with nice masala

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Paneer
  • 2 nos Onion sliced
  • 1 no Capsicum chopped
  • 2 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 2 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp Kasoori methi Uluva ela
  • 50 g Cashew nut soaked in water and ground
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 3 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 1 no Cinnamon sticks Karugapatta
  • 2 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • For preparing rich paneer curry, heat little oil in kadai and fry paneer pieces. Keep this aside.
  • In the same kadai, add little oil and half spoon ghee.
  • Add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Add onion, ginger and garlic.
  • Add tomato, chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
  • Do not over cook the onion.
  • Remove from flame and grind it when cooled.
  • Heat ghee in kadai, add kasoori methi and the ground masala.
  • Add the paneer pieces and cook well.
  • Add the cashew nut paste and saute well. Cook for 5 mints.
  • Remove from flame and decorate with coriander leaves.
  • Rich paneer curry is ready.
