North Indian Tamarind Sauce

This sauce can be used with north indian snacks, panipoori etc.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Dates de-seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup Tamarind juice
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery Sharkkara
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt A pinch

Instructions
 

  • For preparing tamarind sauce, first mix jaggery with tamarind juice.
  • Bring it to boil.
  • Add cumin powder, salt and chilly powder.
  • Add the chopped dates and boil.
  • When the gravy starts to thicken, remove from flame.
  • Grind it in processor when cooled.
  • North indian tamarind sauce is ready.
