Traditional Mambazha Pulisheri - Vishu Special

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 nos Ripe mangoes
  • 3 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder roasted and powdered
  • 2 cups Curd
  • 2 cups Coconut milk
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • Coconut oil As reqd
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing traditional mambazha pulisheri, fist roughly chop the mangoes.
  • In a deep bottomed pan, add mangoes, green chillies, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder, sugar, salt and little water.
  • Cook the mangoes till it becomes soft and mashed.
  • Now add the coconut milk. Remove from flame before it starts to boil.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Add curd and mix well.
  • In another pan, add coconut oil and heat.
  • Splutter mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Pour this over the curry.
  • Traditional mambazha pulisheri - vishu special, a yummy curry is ready.
