Coconut Chips Chutney

Roasted coconut pieces are ground with other ingredients to make a yummy side dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Coconut slices
  • 4 nos Shallots Kunjulli
  • 2 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 5 nos Green chillies slit
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing coconut chips chutney, scoop the coconut out of the shell and slice into very thin slices.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Put in the coconut chips. Stir and fry till golden brown. Stir on medium heat. Keep it aside to cool.
  • Grind coarsely coconut chips, small onions, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, green chillies, curry leaves and salt.
  • Coconut chips chutney is ready. Serve with rice as a side dish.
