Tomato Parippu Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Yellow split pea Uzhunu parippu
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 1 no Onion
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 small Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • Asafoeitida A pinch, Kayam
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Coriander leaves Few

Instructions
 

  • Cook yellow split peas with turmeric powder, salt and water.
  • Heat oil in pan, splutter mustard seeds, dry red chilllies. Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves, fenugreek and asafoetida. saute well until golden brown in color.
  • Add chopped tomato saute until tomato is cooked.
  • Add yellow split peas and chopped chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice.
