Cucumber-Vellarika Kichadi

A delicious recipe with cucumber

Ingredients
  

  • 150 g Cucumber chopped
  • 5 nos Green chillies
  • 2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/4 liter Curd
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies cut each into 3 pieces
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • For preparing, cucumber/vellarika kichadi, first grind together green chillies, 1 tsp mustard seeds, coconut and curd. Keep this aside.
  • Boil water in a vessel and add cucumber and salt.
  • Add the ground mixture to it. Mix well.
  • Stir in between till the cucumber cooks well.
  • Heat oil in kadai, splutter red chillies and curry leaves. Pour this into the curry.
  • Cucumber/vellarika kichadi, a tasty recipe is ready. Serve with rice.
