Ingredients
  

  • 150gm to Split green gram dhal Cherupayar parippu
  • 8 to Cashew nuts
  • 8 to Rasins Unakka Munthiri
  • 5 to Jaggery 200gm, Sharkara
  • Coconut milk half of one
  • 3 nos Cardamom powder Elakka
  • Salt As reqd
  • Water As reqd, Hot
  • Ghee As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing easy cherupayar payasam, fry split green gram dhal in a pan for a few minutes.
  • Add water and salt and cook the split green gram dhal in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
  • Put jaggery in 3/4 glass of hot water and melt it.
  • Fry rasins and cashewnuts in some ghee and keep it aside.
  • Add jaggery syrup, cashewnut, rasins, coconut milk and cardamom powder to the cooked split green gram dhal and boil it again. Add water if necessary.
  • Easy cherupayar payasam is ready.
