Rasagulla

Milk is curdled using lime juice and then maida is added to make a smooth dough which is dipped in sugar syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Water

For preparing sugar syrup:

  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 4 cups Water

Instructions
 

  • For preparing rasagulla, heat milk and boil it for 10 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice when the milk starts boiling. Wait till the milk curdles completely.
  • Remove the milk from heat and cool it for about 5 minutes.
  • Pour it over a thin cotton cloth and tie a tight knot. Strain the milk and wash the curd using the cotton cloth under tap water to remove lemon essence.
  • Knead the panner for 7 minutes until it's made to a smooth dough. Add flour and knead again.
  • Make small from the dough.
  • Boil sugar and water to make syrup. Stir it while boiling.
  • Add the balls to the syrup while boiling on a medium heat. Cook for 20 minutes in high flame with a partially covered lid.
  • Rasagulla is ready. It is a yummy and delicious sweet.
