Ven Pongal Brahmin Special
Ven Pongal a traditional Brahmin Special recipe with rice and cheru parippu

- 1 cup Raw Rice
- ½ cup Green gram dhal Cheruparippu
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Chana dal
- 4 tbsp Ghee
- 2 tsp Pepper
- 2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 no Red chilly
- Salt As reqd
- 2 tsp Coconut oil
- 4 nos Cashew nuts
- 4 nos Dry Grapes
For preparing venpongal v brahmin special, first boil raw rice and cheruparuppu together in cooker by adding 3 cups of water.
Fry mustard seeds and chana dhal in coconut oil.
Add red chilly and fry for some more time.
Add 3rd step to the 1st step.
Add curry leaves. Pour this to boiled rice.
Fry pepper and cumin powder in ghee and add to the 1st step.
Fry cashew nut and dry grapes in ghee and add to the mixture.
Add salt and mix well.
