Molagooshiam - Brahmin Special

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Green gram dal Cherupayaru parippu
  • 1/4 kg Elephant yam Chena
  • 1 no Raw banana
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal Uzhunnu parippu
  • 1 no Red chilly cut in half
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing molagooshiam - brahmin special, wash and boil green gram dal in cooker adding pinch of turmeric powder and enough quantity of water.
  • Cut and wash elephant yam and raw banana and boil this also in cooker with sufficient quantity of water adding turmeric powder and salt. (Please note that item 1 and item 2 must be cooked in 2 different pots of the cooker)
  • After boiling, mix item 1 and item 2 and cook for a few minutes. Add pepper powder and then add curry leaves.
  • Fry mustard seed, urad dal and red chilly in coconut oil add this to the mixture.
  • Molagooshiam - brahmin special recipe, is ready.
