  • For Thickener:
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Corn starch

Instructions

  • Cut chicken breast into 1 inch pieces.
  • Beat eggs with salt and pepper.
  • Take corn starch, beaten egg and flour in three separate bowls.
  • Dip the chicken pieces one by one first into the flour then into the egg and lastly coat it with the corn starch.
  • Once all the chicken pieces are coated fry them in oil until they are light brown.
  • Place the fried chicken on a plate lined with paper towel, so that oil is drained out.
  • You can saute the capsicum also in the same oil and keep aside. Saute capsicum just to remove the raw taste. Do not over cook them.
  • Now for preparing orange sauce, take a bowl and stir in orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, chilly garlic sauce and ginger paste. Stir until all the sugar is melted. Set this mixture aside. 9)To make thickener, mix the water and 2 tbsp of corn starch.
  • In a wok, heat the orange sauce mixture on high and bring it to a boil. Once boiling starts, add the thickener to it. Stir till the sauce is thick.
  • Now add the fried chicken pieces and mix it so that all the pieces are coated well with the sauce.
  • When done, add the chopped green onions and fried capsicum to it and remove from flame.
  • Serve hot. Goes well with fried rice. :)
