For preparing morukootan - brahmin special, wash cucumber after cutting into small pieces and boil it with sufficient quantity of water and add turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside.
Grind the grated coconut with green chillies with sufficient quantity of water.
Add the ground coconut mixture to the previously cooked cucumber and boil for few minutes in low heat. Add jaggery to this.
Add soured buttermilk.
Cook for sometime. This mixture will get foam after sometime. Do not boil this. When the foam comes stop cooking.
Fry mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and red chilly and add this to the cooked mixture.
