For preparing spicy north indian curry, beat together besan flour, maida and yogurt to a smooth blend without any lumps.
Add green chilly, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, sugar and required salt.
Keep the mixture on low flame for a few minutes till starts boiling. Remove the pan from the fire and keep aside.
For tempering, melt butter in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds and fry.
Add red chilly, asafoetida, turmeric and fry in low heat for a few seconds.
Stir it into the besan curd mixture and allow it to simmer for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
