Curd With Chana Bonda

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp Curd
  • 2 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Chana dal soaked for 3 hours and ground
  • 3 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
  • Soda powder A small pinch
  • 2 tbsp Onion chopped
  • 1 no Green chilly chopped
  • Turmeric A pinch
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 2 sprigs Coriander leaves
  • 1 spring Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil For deep frying

Instructions
 

  • For preparing curd with chana bonda, mix together curd, rice flour, maida and required salt. Add sufficient water and make a smooth batter.
  • Add the ground chana dal, soda powder, chopped onion, pepper powder, coriander leaves, green chilly, turmeric, cumin seeds, curry leaves and required salt. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a hard bottomed pan and drop scoops of the prepared batter into it.
  • Deep fry the curd with chana bonda till golden brown in color.
  • Curd with chana bonda, a yummy favorite with kids as well as elders, is ready. Serve hot with onion chutney.
