Humus-Hummus Recipe
Soaked and cooked chickpea is ground with cumin seeds, lemon juice, olive oil and other ingredients to prepare this mid-eastern dip

- 1 cup Chickpea/Garbanzo beans soaked, Kadala
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tbsp Tahini
- 1/2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 nos Garlic pods
- Parsley For garnishing, chopped
- Salt As reqd
- 1 tsp Paprika
First cook the chickpeas with some water. Drain and preserve the liquid. Remove the skin of cooked chickpeas.
Grind together chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, tahini and required salt.
During blending, keep adding the reserved liquid until the dip reaches the desired consistency.
Humus / hummus recipe, a popular mid-eastern dip, with pita bread, grilled chicken etc is ready. Garnish with chopped parsley and paprika on top.
