Soak rice for 30 minutes.
Take triple amount of water compared to rice and allow to boil.
When boiling starts, add full vegetables and salt needed.
Add rice. When it is 3/4 cooked, drain and keep aside.
Heat oil in a vessel and splutter cumin seeds.
Add onion and saute.
Add ginger, garlic and chilly paste. When onion is about to brown, add coriander powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
Add tomatoes and a little salt. Allow to soften.
9)Add 1/4 th of garam masala and half of coriander leaves.
Put cooked rice upon this. On top of rice add the leftover garam masala and coriander leaves.
Close tightly or seal it with foil and then close it. Keep in simmer flame for 5 minutes.
Mix well and serve hot.
