Broken Wheat-Daliya Kheer

Broken wheat is cooked with milk, sugar and dry fruits in a pressure cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp Broken wheat/Daliya Nurukku godambu
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 6 tsp Ghee
  • 10 nos Cashew nuts
  • 10 nos Raisins

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and fry the daliya till light brown in color.
  • Now add sugar and milk.
  • Cover the cooker and cook until 4 whistles.
  • In a pan. heat ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins. Pour this over the kheer.
  • Broken wheat/dhaliya kheer, a favorite with kids, is ready.
