Microwave Mutton Chops

Flattened mutton chops marinated in a mixture of ginger-garlic paste, other ingredients and cooked in a microwave

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Lamb chops
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp Aniseed Saumph
  • 2 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 1 tsp Gram flour dry roasted, Kadala mavu
  • 1 small Raw papaya grated
  • 1 no Sweet potato cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Elakka
  • Black pepper A pinch
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • First flatten the mutton chops by banging on top. Marinate the mutton chops in ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder. Keep aside for a few minutes.
  • Sprinkle roasted flour over the lamb chops.
  • Rub the grated papaya over the lamb chops. Add the potato pieces.
  • Mix yogurt with all the other ingredients : aniseed, cloves, lemon juice, cardamom, black pepper, little oil and required salt.
  • Marinate the mutton chops in this marinate for an hour.
  • Now heat 1/2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the mutton chops for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mutton chops to a microwave safe dish and sprinkle some water. Cover and micro for 6 minutes in high mode. Allow curry to stand in oven for 3 more minutes.
  • Microwave mutton chops, a yummy mouthwatering dish is ready.
