Baked Mushroom-Khombi Chicken Curry

Marinated and fried chicken pieces are baked with mushrooms in a microwave

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Chicken
  • 1 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 125 g Mushrooms halved
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • Ginger paste A pinch
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing baked mushroom/khombi chicken curry, mix together pepper, turmeric powder and required salt adding little water. Rub this paste over the chicken pieces and marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil till they are golden brown in color.
  • Transfer the fried chicken pieces into a baking tray. Fry onion in the remaining oil till it becomes transparent(You can add more oil if it is necessary).
  • Now add ginger-garlic paste and sautT for a minute on low flame. Add red chilly powder and garam masala.
  • Add all purpose flour and fry till light brown.
  • Stir in chicken broth and stir well for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Now pour the prepared sauce over the fried chicken pieces and bake for 20 minutes at 160 degrees.
  • Take out the baking tray and add the mushrooms.
  • Bake again for 10 minutes till the chicken is done.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Baked mushroom/khombi chicken curry is ready. Serve hot with chappatti, rice etc.
