Green Pepper Fish Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Fish cut into medium sized pieces, preferably Seer fish/Nei meen
  • 1/4 cup Shallots sliced, Kunjulli
  • 1/4 cup Tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic ground
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Green pepper crushed, fresh
  • 1 no Green chilly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly sauce
  • Ajino moto A pinch
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cornflour
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Coconut oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing green pepper fish fry, first marinate the fish pieces with black pepper powder, turmeric powder, ground garlic and required salt. Keep the marinated fish for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish pieces to a golden brown color. Remove the fishes from oil.
  • In the same oil, fry sliced shallots and then add chopped tomatoes, green chilly and saute for a while.
  • Add crushed green pepper, ajino moto, chilly sauce and saute.
  • Meanwhile, add 1/4 cup water to cornflour and add the mixture to the curry.
  • Allow green pepper fish curry to boil and add fried fish pieces, curry leaves and required salt. Simmer in low heat for a few seconds and remove from fire.
  • Green pepper fish curry, a spicy nutritious dish is ready.
