Groundnut Sweet

Roasted groundnuts ground with coconut milk to make sweet dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Groundnuts Nilakadala
  • 1/2 a Jaggery Sarkara
  • 3 pods Cardamom powder Elakka
  • 3 tbsp Coconut milk
  • 25 g Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Add some water to the jaggery and melt it over fire. Sieve and keep jaggery aside for cooling.
  • Take a pan and roast the groundnuts.
  • Add coconut milk to the roasted groundnuts and grind to a paste.
  • Place a small vessel(uruli) on fire. Pour the melted jaggery into the vessel.
  • Add the groundnut paste and stir well.
  • When the consistency thickens, add ghee.
  • Add cardamom powder and mix gently in low fire until a halwa consistency is acquired.
  • Remove from fire and pour into a flat vessel. Cool and serve.
  • Yummy groundnut sweet, a nutritional recipe is ready.
