Fried Squid Rings

Squid rings dipped in batter and deep fried

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Squid cut into rings with 1/4 inch thickness, Koonthal
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • 1 no Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • Celery salt/common salt As reqd, preferred

Instructions
 

  • Mix together maida, corn flour, egg, baking powder, pepper powder, celery salt and little water to make a paste.
  • The batter consistency should be thick.
  • Dip each squid ring in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden in color.
  • Fried squid rings are ready and serve hot.
  • Tips: 1)Do not over fry the squid rings since they tend to become hard.
