Pappaya Curry

Grated pappaya cooked and mixed with ground coconut

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Pappaya
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 cups Coconut grated
  • Mustard seeds As reqd
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 2 nos Whole red chillies
  • Coconut oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Peal the pappaya and chop into small pieces.
  • Cook the pappaya pieces with turmeric, salt and enough water.
  • Remove from fire when done and mash the pappaya.
  • Grind the grated coconut with some water to make a thick gravy.
  • Pour the ground coconut into the mashed pappaya and cook in low heat.
  • Remove from fire when boiling starts.
  • Take a pan and pour oil. Heat the oil and splutter mustard seeds and add red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Saute and pour this into the pappaya curry.
  • Pappaya curry, a very nutritious dish is ready.
